Work Schedule
Officers at LEPD work a 2-2-3 shift schedule (Panama schedule), averaging 14 twelve-hour shifts per month. Shifts are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (day shift) or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (night shift). Additionally, one day every two weeks is reduced to an 8-hour day to meet an 80-hour bi-weekly schedule.
